The Employee Benefits/ERISA practice area is diverse both in terms of the types of plans for which services are provided as well as the size and type of clients. The Employee Benefits/ERISA practice provides services to clients with as many as 30,000 employees as well as to that one person business owner just starting out and looking for the most appropriate retirement or health plan design. With respect to retirement plans, we provide services to defined benefit plans, profit sharing plans, Section 401(k) plans (safe harbor or traditional) as well as ESOPs. In the world of health plans, we can draft self-insured plans as well as individual account health plans.
The types of services available range from helping small clients to choose the most appropriate retirement plan for their business, as well as drafting, amending as necessary and helping plans of all sizes stay in compliance with the complex rules imposed by the various governmental agencies. Where clients’ plans have fallen out of compliance, we have extensive experience in helping clients craft cost-efficient means of regaining qualification and compliance.
