Tax Planning and Controversy

The firm’s experienced Tax Planning and Controversy Group assists individuals, businesses and tax-exempt organizations with federal, state and local tax planning and all related services. Nearly all of the attorneys in the Group have advanced tax degrees or are Certified Public Accountants (C.P.A.’s) with extensive experience in accounting and taxation, allowing us to meet our clients’ non-tax objectives while at the same time decreasing their tax consequences.

We advise our clients in connection with tax planning issues involving business and real estate transactions, bankruptcy and debt restructurings, as well as formation, reorganization and liquidation of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and trusts. Additionally, we have experience representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state and local taxing authorities in all levels of the administrative process, including collections, audit, administrative review and appeals.
